voice!"

vocal."

helping of soul, and she produces a pretty big sound armed
with only a single guitar and her vocal
chords."
- Englewood Herald-Tribune, FL
"MJ continues to combine deep roots in acoustic music with
a maturing country sensibility, and to create a genre that
is, in many ways, her own."
- Victory Review, WA
"Ode To Big Blue makes you drop what you're doing and just
listen..... and 'Landed'... you deliver it perfectly, love
those low notes...(very Ella!)"
- Di Billinghurst, UK Recording Artist
MJ Bishop is an acoustic folk/country/Americana solo artist
out of Seattle who has performed steadily since 1998 in and
around Seattle, and has also taken her music to Oregon,
Idaho, California, Montana, Michigan and Florida.
Dishing up some tasty treats with her sparkling vocal,
MJ’s songs leave you humming well after the last note
is sung, and she produces a pretty big sound armed with
only a single guitar and her vocal chords. Personally
connecting with the audience is important to MJ, and her
charm, musicianship and professionalism shine during her
performances. Entertaining runs in the family and she
claims to be addicted to the stage.
MJ has shared the stage with many Northwest musicians,
including The Starlings, Christy McWilson, Anna Coogan, The
Paperboys (Canada), ThorNton Creek, Moe Provencher, Nancy
K. Dillon, Eva Tree, Matt Price, and Brandi Carlile.
Combining deep roots in acoustic music with a maturing
country sensibility, MJ creates a genre that is, in many
ways, her own. She has been compared to k.d. lang, Natalie
Merchant, Kim Richey, Dar Williams, Rory Block, Indigo
Girls, Cowboy Junkies. Her influences include Patsy Cline,
Hank Williams, k.d. lang, Patty Griffin, Emmylou Harris,
Lucinda Williams.
MJ is currently in the studio working on her third disc.
She has plans to tour across the U.S. in 2008.
About Dennis

obtained his 15 minutes of fame in 1988 by winning a
National songwriting contest for the song Bird of Prey.
With his CD "Still Waters", which was released in 1999,
Dennis has shown his eclectic side with 10 original songs
ranging from Acoustic Blues to Contemporary Folk. His Song
" Life's Highway" was also included on the Northern
Michigan Songwriters compilation CD "Risin' Shine". In the
Summer of 2002 Dennis collaborated with Playwright Dave
Kann to write and record acoustic instrumental music for
the play "The Cherry Buggy Whip". His 2nd CD "CherryTown"
released in the spring of 2003, contains 13 well crafted
songs. From the haunting "Dakota Dream" to the thought
provoking "CherryTown". On his latest CD Dennis has
